Can we afford to wait?

With the average lifespan of a gas powered car at 10 years, the turnover from gas to electric for 20% of these consumers is projected to be 25-30 years. The cost of hybrid vehicles that only provide a 10-25% increase in MPG, but come with a 30-50% price tag premium are the primary reasons behind this slow turnover rate.

In order to make a serious dent in our consumption of imported oil, we must also initiate and fund programs that utilize the 245 million cars that are already in use across the country.   There is a glut of over 10 million unsold cars, from Newark and Long Beach in the US, Avonmouth to Swindon, in the UK, Tokyo, Japan, Valencia, Spain, and all around the world that will never reach the market.


EVIN’s conversion approach is based on the concept that new electric vehicles and old gas-powered vehicles can advance our goals of lowering GHGs and dependence on foreign sources of oil.

We also believe electric vehicles should be “just like our current gas cars”.

Why do we have to sacrifice size, shape, comfort, utility, and safety to help our planet and lower our driving costs.

Most converted cars utilize the rear seating area to house the batteries. EVIN's patented use of a vehicle enclosure and battery housing platform box underneath the car doesn't impact the passenger cabin area.

Bring the kids, groceries, and family dog along, just as your do today. Why sacrifice the storage space of the traditional trunk area?

 

 

 

Since EVIN's patented vehicle battery exchange process is located under the vehicle, supplanting the space previously used by the gas tank and exhaust systems, you retain a full-sized trunk.
