The automotive industry is undergoing rapid changes because its traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) based paradigm is unsustainable. Revolutionary change is inevitable, and when it occurs in any industry not all stakeholders are equally effected. Many jobs have already been lost, but even more will eventually be created.
EVIN’s vision for the transformation of the automotive industry maximizes positive impacts on those stakeholders who may be at the greatest risk: employees of major automotive manufactures and workers in associated industries.
Because EVIN facilitates the conversion of existing ICE automobiles, these vehicles will remain on the road and related infrastructure will be less affected. Existing mechanics, automotive parts manufacturers and other industry stakeholders will be able retain a portion of their market shares as they struggle to keep up with a rapidly changing industry and a host of new competitors.
Because EVIN's battery exchange system fits within the design parameters of many vehicles already being manufactured today, existing automotive manufacturers that adopt EVIN’s technology may be able to spend fewer resources on redesigning vehicles and retooling factories. Communities that have been ravaged by the collapse of the automotive industry need to remake themselves, and EVIN’s vision is to facilitate reconstruction, rather than add insult to injury.
Public policy initiatives are the driver of any major industry transformation. EVIN recognizes that the growth that has occurred within the alternative fuel vehicle industry would not have been possible without the success of numerous past public policy initiatives.
EVIN has alliances with individuals and organizations that are in a position to influence public policy, and it is committed to leveraging the power of public policy at the local, state and federal levels in order to achieve its end goals.
Because automobiles account for roughly 25% of CO2 emissions in the U.S., and 10% of emission globally, we as a society must drive more fuel efficiency vehicles if we are to curb climate change.
Since EVIN’s holistic model facilitates the process of reducing vehicle-related CO2 emissions, EVIN considers all of the planet earth’s inhabitants who are threatened by global warming to be stakeholders that it can positively impact.
A drive to protect the public interest, including that of generations to come, is in EVIN’s DNA at the most fundamental level. That nature of EVIN’s business model and organizational structure dictates that EVIN will be interfacing with a wide range of major industry players in both the public and private sectors.
EVIN is committed to being a leader in environmental stewardship: it will hold its strategic partners accountable for their environmental impacts, and guide them towards the pathway to sustainability.
EVIN not only fits into the current automotive industry, it stands to make a large impact in bringing it back to the height of its success by re-creating lost jobs and economic potential.
